Terms of Use

Last updated: April 16, 2026

By using RideAlert ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What RideAlert does

RideAlert is a utility that monitors publicly available theme-park wait-time data and sends push notifications to your device when rides you've selected drop below thresholds you've set. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any theme park or park operator.

Data accuracy

Wait-time information is sourced from a third-party public feed (ThemeParks.wiki) that may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. RideAlert is provided "as is" and we make no warranty that alerts will be timely, complete, or correct. Notification delivery is subject to Apple's push-notification infrastructure and your device's connectivity, which are outside our control.

Purchases and passes

Day passes are purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All purchase terms, refund policies, and payment methods are governed by your agreement with Apple. A "day pass" grants 24 hours of monitoring starting at activation; a "free trial pass" grants 5 hours at activation. Purchased passes do not expire until activated.

Passes are non-transferable and tied to the device that purchased them. Passes have no cash value, cannot be exchanged, and cannot be refunded via us directly — refunds go through Apple's standard process at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Annual Membership (auto-renewable subscription)

The RideAlert Annual Membership is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. It costs $34.99 per year (US pricing; equivalent local pricing in other regions per Apple's tier table) and grants unlimited monitoring across every supported park for the duration of the subscription period.

Your subscription will automatically renew at the same price for another one-year term unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your Apple ID account settings on your device after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period — once charged, the period runs to its scheduled end.

While you have an active Annual Membership, you do not need to purchase or activate day passes; the subscription provides equivalent access. Any day passes you purchased separately remain in your balance and are unaffected by the subscription. If your subscription lapses, you can return to using day passes (or renew the subscription).

Refunds for subscription charges are handled by Apple per their standard process at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Third-party trademarks

Disney, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and all ride names mentioned in the app are trademarks of their respective owners. RideAlert references these names strictly for identification purposes and claims no affiliation or endorsement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RideAlert and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to lost time, missed rides, or ruined vacations, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant day pass or, in the case of an Annual Membership, the amount you paid in the most recent subscription period.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
